THE SYSTEM

The Hendrix-Inspired Layered Lead Guitar (LLG) Method

A Revolutionary Approach to Guitar Mastery for Serious Players

Traditional guitar education has failed discerning players for decades. Scale memorization, theoretical overload, and mechanical exercises merely encourage robotic playing that lacks soul and expression. The TGT Academy system eliminates these outdated methods from the 80s entirely.

Implementation Strategy - Why This Works for Accomplished Adults

The LLG Method respects your intelligence and time constraints. Rather than treating you like a beginner, we acknowledge your musical sophistication and provide efficient pathways to the results you demand. Our students typically see dramatic improvement within 90 days because we eliminate the guesswork and focus exclusively on proven techniques.

This is precision-engineered guitar education for players who appreciate craftsmanship in all its forms.

Core Philosophy: Music as Language

The LLG Method treats studying guitar like learning a sophisticated language. Just as you wouldn't learn French by memorizing grammar rules before speaking, you shouldn't learn guitar by drilling scales before making music. Our approach prioritizes musical conversation from day one.

4 clearly laid-out Steps instead of 100s of Musical Goals

We live in a world of information overload. While all the knowledge is right at their fingertips, many players never have a chance to connect all the dots. More videos, more courses, and diagrams aren't going to fix that.

The TGT approach goes the opposite direction by first narrowly focusing on 4 key areas: basic mechanical skills, fretboard orientation, and Jimi Hendrix's phrasing and vocabulary. Based on that, the students start to build their own "improvisational toolkit". We also call these the "lead guitar layers":

THE 7 LEAD GUITAR LAYERS WE FOCUS ON

Layer 1: Core Pentatonic Phrasing Vocabulary Master essential blues-rock phrases and their musical context. Build a foundation of authentic licks that form the backbone of expressive lead guitar.

Layer 2: Hendrix Chordal Style Learn the revolutionary technique of embedding chord tones directly into your lead lines. This creates the melodic sophistication that separates professional players from hobbyists.

Layer 3: One-String Approach Develop linear thinking and melodic continuity across single strings. This technique creates flowing, vocal-like phrases that sound effortless and musical.

Layer 4: Fluid Pentatonics Transform rigid scale patterns into seamless, connected phrases. Learn to navigate the fretboard with the fluidity that characterizes master players.

Layer 5: Melodic 3rds and 6ths Add harmonic sophistication through interval-based playing. These techniques create the rich, textured sound found in professional recordings.

Layer 6: Triad Pairs Integrate chord-based thinking into single-note lines. This advanced concept creates sophisticated harmonic movement within your solos.

Layer 7: Blues Stylings Master the authentic blues vocabulary that underlies all great rock guitar. Develop the timing, phrasing, and emotional content that gives your playing soul.
